I try and make time at least once a week to sit down and have a bit of a pamper evening. Sitting at home catching on on YouTube videos with a face mask on doing absolutely nothing? Bae.
I work full time and sometimes seem to have 0 time to myself so this time in the week gives me a chance to sit back and do what I love.
Of course I typically start off with a bath, I placed an order at Lush recently so luckily had a gorgeous bath bomb to use (this was the intergalactic bath bomb- and yes it’s as amazing as it looks). If I don’t have any bath bombs (cry), I always have some kind of bubble bath on hand because what’s a bath without bubbles really?
I’ve been loving this OGX Coconut Water Shampoo and Conditioner for my hair recently, I have very dry and damaged hair so it needed a little bit of pampering itself. I won’t talk about these two much as I will be doing a post on my hair care routine shortly!
Before I get in the bath I like to take my make up off and give my skin a chance to breathe, I use the Garnier Micellar Water and a Make Up Eraser normally but if I’m wearing heavy eye make up I like to say hello to Clinique’s Take The Day Off. I also take this opportunity to pop on some of this Liquid Gold from Alphah, this has been doing lovely things for my skin (review coming soon!).
For face masks I’ve been loving the Lush Oatifix, it smells so good and I love the way it makes my skin feel (you can read more about it here).
Then it’s finally time to light some candles and lie back in that gorgeously hot water, I love the way the warm water feels on tired and achy muscles, nothing beats it.
Okay I may have taken a few too many pictures of my bath bomb in action BUT LOOK AT IT.
Once out and dried I wrap myself up in my fluffy zebra dressing gown and snuggle into bed with my laptop. I take this time to catch up on blogs, watch some TV shows and scroll through social media.
I will, of course, light a few candles. I’m still burning a Christmas Yankee candle at the moment but hey, it smells super good.
And that’s my little pamper evening done, all that’s left for me to do is tune in to a podcast and fall asleep (probably my favourite part of everyday tbf lol)
Thanks you reading! Any Lush bath bomb suggestions for future reference?
