My 2018.

Happy New Year! I did do a 2018 review over on my Instagram stories but I thought this would make a good post for the first day of 2019 so here it is! I apologise in advance as this is a pretty lenghty post.

January was a pretty quiet month. We’d just had Christmas and not long come back from our trip to Jamaica so we used January to take some time out. We saw in the New Year with a trip to some bars and clubs but none of those photos are very flattering so I think I’ll give those a miss.

We did do a bit of wedding planning in January and visited some venues and wedding fairs.

This was another quite month but we had a few day trips including the Black Country Muesum and Bristol Zoo.

And I came home to the most amazing surprise on Valentines Day.

March = with a lot of snow and another quiet month. All in all the start of my 2018 was a little dull but it was relaxing and that’s what we needed after a busy 2017.

In April I celebrated my 20th birthday and had the best time. We spent the day at Alton Towers with friends and I was totally spoilt.

I also got pink hair which I adored.

We also started to get some incredible weather which meant lunch breaks outside, our first BBQ and we brought a swimming pool for the back garden. Oh, I also saw Devilman live which I was way to pumped for.

I started off May by visiting Birmingham Hippodrome to see the incredible Don Mclean which was absolutely amazing and I’m still in awe.

I then went back to Birmingham a week later to see Micheal McIntyre in the LG arena.

In June we flew over to Ibiza for a week and had the best time. The week consisted of pool parties, cocktails, glitter and incredible food.

June was also the month I handed my notice in at the GP surgery I worked and made the decision to attend university full time to study law rather than continue on Open University.

I also got tattoo number 8 (I think).

July consisted of wishing I can air-con, house hunting and long summer walks.

In August we moved into our current house so the month was full of organising and a cheeky trip to IKEA.

I also started my new part-time job in August to work alongside uni.

Finally the month came to start uni and I was beyond excited. We had an amazing Freshers week and I met some awesome people.

I went to my second ever wedding in October and got some serious inspiration for our own wedding.

We also spent a long weekend in Minehead where we built sandcastles on the beach, watched some pretty cool shows at Butlins and drove up the hills to get the most incredible views.

We finished up October with a trip to London for the Bar Council Pupillage fair. We also spent the afternoon wandering around London like tourists which made my heart fuzzy because I truly adore London and can’t get enough of visiting.

November kicked off with a visit to the National Pet Show at the NEC which was really fun. We ended up spending a fortune on things for Coco and there was tonnes to see and do.

We also went to the local firework display which was one of the best I’ve ever seen.

November also marked the month I got my beloved blonde hair back.

We ended November by visiting our local Christmas market and bringing Coco along for the ride (which she adored because she got fussed 14234x and found a considerable amount of dropped pork baps on the floor).

And finally we find ourselves in December. December was full of seeing family, visiting Santa’s grotto’s and lots of yummy food. I treated myself to the new Note 9 and can confidently say I am back on the Samsung bandwagon.

2018 ended up being a pretty crazy month and certainly didn’t end up how I’d have thought. I’m pretty proud of myself with taking the leap from full-time work back into full-time education and keeping sane while working a part-time job alongside it. My mental health has been up and down which is expected with all the big life style changes but I’m pretty happy to say I’m ending 2018 feeling really good.

I’m pretty confident 2019 will be a good year for me and I’m excited to see what it brings!

I hope you’ve all had a fabulous year and if not then I’m hoping 2019 brings you something amazing.
