I’m a regular subscriber of Glossybox and have been a fan of their previous boxes, however, this one I wasn’t so keen on.
This was their 5th birthday box so the packaging was super cute (as always) and it contained 2 full-size items; one of which we were given an option to pick before the box was shipped to us.
There were 4 MUA eyeshadow palettes to pick from, I picked the only palette I didn’t already own (I used to love these things) but instead got the Hall of Fame palette, which I already own. I can’t remember the name of the one I picked but, like I said, it was the only one I didn’t already have so I was quite disappointed by this.
MUA Eyeshadow Pallette (Hall of Fame) // RRP £4
Not much to say about this as, like I said, I already own this palette so I will probably save it for a giveaway!
Cowshed Invigorating Body Lotion // RRP £20
Next was this product from Cowshed, I’ve never tried anything from this brand but I know they’re famous for using all natural ingredients in their products. This is a lemongrass, ginger, and rosemary scented body lotion and I kinda hate the scent (soz). I’m not a fan of rosemary and for me, this just smells like old people. I also don’t really like receiving body lotions/moisturisers in subscription boxes, this is just personal preference but I have a lot of body lotions that I simply don’t use so this will probably be going to my Mum!
Facial Brush and Massager // RRP £6.99
I’ll have to give this a proper go before reviewing it but on first impressions, I’m not convinced. It feels quite ‘rough’ and not great quality but I’ll definitely be giving it ago.
Mudmasky Facial Detox Purifying Recovery Mask // RRP £56
This was pretty much the only product in the box that I was excited about. It’s from a brand called Mudmasky and I’ve actually never tried anything from them, although, I do kind of wish I don’t like it because of that price tag!
Rae Feather X Glossybox Pouch // RRP £20
Last product in the box was defiantly the most disappointing for me. Glossybox worked with a company (Rae Feather) to create this little pouch, which apparently retails for £20 but, I’m sorry, there is no way I would buy this for the price. I would have much preferred another beauty product and felt like this should have been an extra item, not included in the beauty products.
So that was my August Glossybox, like I said, not impressed with this one. I hope they manage to redeem themselves next month!
